Follow these steps to connect Shopify and set up sync rules. Start with a small test set before enabling full sync.
Shopify admin access and a custom app API key/access token.
Sanka workspace admin access.
Agreed SKU conventions and, if multi-store, a mapping between platform ID and inventory SKU.
A few test products/orders for validation.
In Sanka, go to Workspace > Integrations > Create integration, choose Shopify.
Enter your shop-name, API key, and access token; create the connection.
Confirm the store appears in the integrations list and share access with teammates if needed.
Mapping: Primary store via platform ID, other stores via inventory SKU to attach to existing products.
Locations: Map Shopify locations to Sanka locations; set safety stock and allocation rules.
Direction: Start with Shopify→Sanka “create only.” After SKUs/stock align, enable Sanka→Shopify exports.
Filters: Exclude SKUs you don’t need; test by category/tag first.
Enable order import and map payment/fulfillment statuses (e.g., paid→invoiced, fulfilled→shipped).
Prepare picking/packing/invoice templates in Sanka; update stock and status on completion.
Include return/cancel steps in your workflow to keep counts accurate.
Import a few products and confirm SKU/price/stock match.
Import a test order, run picking→ship→invoice, and verify status sync both ways.
For multi-location, confirm stock decreases in the right location and replenishes correctly.
Check views/reports for low-stock alerts and unshipped lists.
